Day 01 | Arrival in Danang
Meet and Greet at Danang Airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the Day is free for Leisure
Day 02 | Golf at Montgomerie Links Vietnam (excellent Colin Montgomerie design) including caddie
The Montgomerie Links, located just off historical Danang Beach and minutes from the Danang City, is a stunning 7090 yard, par-72 golf course. The course has been rated as one of Asia’s ten most elite courses by the 2012 Forbes Travel Guide as well as most recently has been voted as “Vietnam’s Best Championship Course 2013” by the Vietnam Golf Magazine. Nearby Hoi An, known for being a UNESCO World Heritage site, also has an amazing beachscape, which makes the perfect palette for this links-style course. Moving boldly over a striking landscape of wispy casuarinas, pines and sand dunes The Montgomerie Links Vietnam gives golfers the feeling of being in Ireland or Scotland without the cold temperatures of the British Isles! The first golf course in central Vietnam, it takes advantage of its close proximity to both the Vietnam East Sea and the Marble Mountains; the latter are visible from many points on the course.
Day 03 | Golf at Laguna Lang Co Golf Club (exciting Nick Faldo course between Danang & Hue) including caddie
Laguna Lang Co Golf Club in central Vietnam near Lang Co Bay and a 3 kilometer beach in the Chan May region of Central Vietnam, an area renowned for its pristine coastline, natural scenery and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites. The site is located between the ancient city of Hue 30 kilometers to the North and Danang 35 kilometers to the South. This par-71 golf course was designed by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo. The Lang Co Golf Club can be enjoyed by the most experienced players and beginners alike. The course presents a variety of tees for players of all levels measuring 6,958 yards from the championship tees and a friendly 5,263 yards from the front tees.
Day 04 | Excursion: Hoi An Walking tour
We’ll drive 30 minutes from Danang to Hoi An. Nestled on the banks of the Thu Bon River, Hoi An is a charming small town with an eccentric mix of western and eastern-influenced architecture. During the 17-18th centuries, under the Nguyen Lords, Hoi An was a flourishing international trading port that was visited by many westerners. Most of Hoi An’s lovely pagodas contain elements from three religions — Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Enjoy a walking tour to visit the old merchant’s house with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with outstanding wood carvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with tropical specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day
Day 05 | Golf at Danang Golf Club, Dunes Course (great links golf in SE Asia) including caddie
The Danang Golf Club opened in 2010 and immediately leapt to fame being recognized as one of the 15 best new courses in the world by USA GOLF magazine. Danang Golf Club has been awarded a number of awards, amongst them the 2011, 2012, 2013 best golf course in Asia by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly as well as the 2012 Best Golf Course in Vietnam by USA Golf Digest and the 2014 IAGTO Diamond Award. The Dunes Course is built on the sandy loam soil of Danang Beach, a place where history is revered as much as golf. The Vietnam golf club is located directly on the beach that the American’s used for their first landing and adjacent to the American’s main supply depot and airfield used during the conflict of the 1960’s.
